Very small embryonic-like stem cells (VSELs) lie dormant in your blood. We isolate them, activate them and return them to you. London Natural Therapies is the only clinic in the UK offering VSELs therapy and the first in Europe.
VSELs are pluripotent stem cells found in adult blood. Because they come from you, there is no donor and none of the risks that come with donor cells. They can become almost any cell type, which makes them a powerful tool for repairing damaged tissue.
VSELs secrete telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds telomeres and rejuvenates DNA. Their tiny size lets them cross the blood-brain barrier, which is why they are of particular interest in neurodegenerative conditions. DNA methylation testing in our clients has shown measurable reductions in biological age after treatment.
How it works
Two consecutive days in the clinic: your cells are isolated and activated on the first, returned to you across both. This is the whole path, from the consultation beforehand to what follows.

Before you come
A consultation first, and often ozone or EBO2 preparation. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours.

Blood draw
A small volume of blood is taken from a vein, in the same way as a blood test.

Isolation
VSELs are separated from the blood using specialist laboratory equipment in the clinic.

Activation
The cells are exposed to controlled cold, mimicking hypothermia, which switches on their regenerative potential.

Growth factors
Activated VSELs are combined with growth factors from your own platelets to amplify healing.

Administration
The preparation is returned by IV drip for systemic effect, injected into a specific area, or applied to the face and scalp.

Rest and recovery
Rest for the remainder of the day. No strenuous exercise for 48 hours.

The science
VSELs were first described by Professor Mariusz Ratajczak's group in 2006. Research continues into their pluripotency, their role in tissue regeneration and their effect on epigenetic age markers.
VSELs are the most exciting therapy I have brought to the clinic. Seeing methylation age fall on paper, and clients feel it in their bodies, is why we invested in offering it first in Europe.
Questions about vsels stem cell therapy
Are VSELs the same as other stem cell treatments?
No. Most stem cell therapies use donor cells or cells harvested from fat or bone marrow. VSELs come from a simple blood draw and are entirely your own.
Is it safe?
Because the cells are autologous there is no rejection or donor disease risk. The procedure is minimally invasive, involving a blood draw and an IV or injection.
Why two consecutive days?
The protocol requires processing and administration across two sessions on following days to get the full benefit. Please plan both days when you book.
How soon will I notice results?
Some clients feel a difference within days; for others changes build over weeks and months as tissue regenerates.
Can VSELs be combined with other therapies?
Yes. We often prepare clients with ozone or EBO2 and support them afterwards with peptides and tailored IVs.
