A spectrophotometer reads the palm of your hand and reports intracellular levels of 21 minerals, 16 heavy metals and vitamins A, B6, B9, B12, C, D and E. Results in minutes, no needles.
Blood, hair and urine tests show what is circulating or being excreted. They do not show what is stored in your tissues. Oligoscan uses spectrophotometry across the full visible light spectrum to measure what is actually present four millimetres under the skin of the palm.

Why tissue testing is different
Blood tests
Show what is in circulation at that moment. The body quickly moves toxins out of the blood into fat and organ tissue, so blood under-reports what is stored.
Hair mineral analysis
Reflects what was excreted into hair over the past three months. Poor excreters, common in chronic illness, appear falsely low.
Urine provocation tests
Measure how well the body excretes metals after a chelating agent. Chelators do not enter cells, so this reflects the extracellular space only.
Oligoscan
Reads the tissue directly, giving a view of intracellular minerals and heavy metals that the other methods cannot.
The science
Spectrophotometry measures how tissue absorbs light at specific wavelengths, which changes with the elements present. Oligoscan applies this to the peripheral tissue of the palm and compares results against a large reference database.
